IAH puts members in touch with hydrogeologists and other groundwater specialists worldwide. All share in the benefits of IAH member services listed below. Growing membership gives the Association the resources to carry out the important work of ensuring that the voice of groundwater is heard internationally.
Hydrogeology Journal is one of the major cited international journals dealing with groundwater issues. Each annual volume contains at least 1200 pages of peer-reviewed papers on hydrogeology and related topics, including as the first issue of the year, a thematic issue on a special topic;
IAH publishes two book series and produces other technical and educational literature and information on groundwater. Many publications are available at special discounted prices for members.
The IAH Newsletter (also on-line on our popular website) provides updates about the world of groundwater and the work of the Association; Our electronic newsletter, Groundwater eNews, is distributed six times a year to members and nonmembers.
International and national conferences provide both a professional and social forum for groundwater specialists. Members are entitled to a discount on registration fees at national and international conferences organised by IAH and its national chapters;
Commissions and Working Groups focus on particular topics, hold specialist meetings and produce memoirs and reports;
National chapters in over 40 countries organise national meetings and promote national groundwater issues in their country, working alongside national associations for hydrogeology and groundwater;
