Publications

The members of the IAH Karst Commission (KC) have published a large number of papers and books dealing with karst hydrogeology, which can be found on their individual homepages or using conventional search tools. The list below includes highlights of the publications with a significant involvement of the KC members since 2007.

2010: Papers presented at the 4th International Symposium on Karst (27-30 April 2010, Malaga, Spain) where the KC will hold their second meeting will be published in a book by Springer. 15-20 selected papers will be published in a special volume of Environmental Earth Sciences (previously Environ. Geol.), edited by KC member B. Andreo and others.

2010: KC members Nico Goldscheider & Natasa Ravbar are currently editing a special issue of Acta Carsologica on “Research Frontiers and Practical Challenges in Karst Hydrogeology”. To date, 15 papers have been submitted, prepared by KC members and other authors. Publication of this special issue is expected in summer 2010.

2009: KC co-chair Jiang Guanghui and KC member Liu Zaihua, together with colleagues, edited a special volume of Carsologica Sinica, including papers authored by KC chairman and members Nico Goldscheider, Yuan Daoxian, Jiang Yongjun and others. The papers are based on scientific presentations made during the opening ceremony of the International Research Centre on Karst under the auspices of UNESCO in Guilin, China, in December 2008. This special issue is a fruit of cooperation between the IRCK and the IAH Karst Commission.

2009: KC co-chair N. Kresic edited a theme issue of journal Ground Water entitled “Ground Water in Karst”, with contributions from many KC members:
